What to use on windows?
So since the directions say not to use Turtle Wax Ice on glass, what should I?
I've heard of Rain X, is it any good or what are my other options?

I use the Armor glass wipes...they work great.
I used to use RainX. Great product for sure! Just a little time consuming. If you use anything spray on then use newspaper to wipe it clean.

I use Zaino Z6 believe it or not. I always Z6 the whole car after a wash with a microfiber towel, then i just go over the windows and they look great plus the Z6 has antistatic properties to repel dust. I also go over my rims with it too...

Ok guys maybe I should have clarified...I already have a good glass cleaner that is safe for tint so that's not what i'm looking for.
Some people use certain products, sometimes even wax on their windows so i'm wondering what I should go with.

I like the Rain X but I wish it were easier to use. I don't know about everyone else but it never seems to dry enough to buff off in one attempt. I let it 'dry to a haze' I guess but then it takes a couple attempts to get it all the way off. Going over it once gets most of it off but it looks like crap and unpolished looking and then again after the other windows I return to the original window. I may have to do this pattern 3 times before it looks decent. The results are good though. Maybe I need to leave it on for several hours before messing with it, then maybe the excess would come right off....maybe.
I'll be watching this thread for a better product.

Oh yeah. I have a bottle of the Rain X cleaner that you're supposed to use before you use the Rain X itself. I never used it because it says not to let it come in contact with painted surfaces. But get this: You have to rinse it off after you clean your windows with it! Ok so, I'm rinsing it off ONTO my painted surfaces before it gets all the way off and onto the driveway? I passed on the cleaner.

The Rain-X product itself also cautions you not to get it on paint as well. If you smell that stuff it smells worse than rubbing alcohol. Funny story, I used the cheap foam pad that came with my PC buffer to put it on all the glass. I went back a week later, having not ever cleaned the pad or washed it, and pick it up. A third (depth-wise) of the pad got eaten up. It was flaking off into dust.
Other than beading water, Rain-X seems to give a pretty decent shine or glinting of the sun, but if there was a specific wax that served the same purpose and gave a better reflection I'd rather use that. It is something I asked about before and was told carnauba type waxes could smear with the windshield wipers so I've never used it. Anyone have good experiences with other stuff?
Blackhawk, are you going for mirrored windows look or water beading? My experience with Rain-X for water beading is that it does work quite well on a highway or speeds above 40mph because it will begin to blow off the windshield. The hatch glass hardly holds any water when raining.
And on a sidenote, the thread isn't about it, but Invisible Glass is the only glass cleaner I've used that won't streak or leave crap, provided the glass is already pretty clean like after a wash. Otherwise you'll probably have to repeat the cleaning a couple times.
