Where did you guys get your short antena?
I am looking at getting one for my 01 SS and wanted some info....and maybe some pics too.
I tried searching, but it really did not bring up too much stuff.
Thanks in advance.

i got mine from autozone one of the chrome ones and sanded off the chrome and painted it black, i dont like the thick shortey antennas that they sell and they are overpriced, i got mine for 11 bucks.

I made mine it was easy and looks factory.
1. remove antenna, and remove little ball at and by twisting with vice grips
2. cut antenna to desired length (wire cutters wont do it, its a strong metal)
3. take a grinder and carefully whittle down the diamater of the top 1/16 inch of the antanna (the shaft is thicker than at the top where the ball originally was)
4. a little dab of super glue should keep the ball on, then remove and vicegrip marks with 150grit, then 400 grit, then spraypaint black again.
*this picture was taken at an extreme angle, my antanne is only about 12inches tall**
