Sweet Grill Idea, check it out
I just had a random idea, has anyone taken their stock grill out of their camaro and then cut out the middle bar that says camaro on it and made the grill wide open? I dont even know if that would be possible, but i think it would look freaking sweet to have a wide open grill, like a huge mouth!

Well, I have to say this. I'm gonna say this only because when I did mine, I had only saw one other car that had a billet grill and the backing cut out for a FMIC. I forget what car it was, but it was one of the first turbo cars and it was a black SS.
I took the idea and decided to try it on mine, and I wouldn't have it any other way! All I did, was cut out the backing with a small hacksaw. I left little tabs for the grill to screw too. Its really easy. Anyone who wants to do this, I'm not sure if this is the best way. I've heard mixed feedback from people driving there cars. Mine's not finished yet, so I don't know how it does at high speed. I challenge you guys to try this though and come up with your own idea. I always like to try new things. In this case I was taking someone's idea and making my own rendition of it. Try to make something new. It will always make you much happier with your car if you come up with the idea and do it yourself.
Sorry to ramble on, but I think its time to see a new look for this!!! I wanted to do a intake system with my hugger SS that placed K&N filters where the two holes in the middle where. Good luck with whatever you guys do!!!!

I want to say either the Dick Harrell cars or the ZL1 has what looks like a regular black billet grille, but it's set back into the opening...Looks awesome
(edit) It's the lip on the DH cars that makes the grille look set back
