Red trans am w/ black canopy and CE bumper.... WHERE ARE PICS??
can ANYONE help me find a picture of a car like this? i saw a pic of it a LONG time ago and cant remember where it was. It is a 98+ WS6 trans am and the canopy (just windows and pillars and roof) are black with deep glass tint and the body is red while the bumper is done CE style in either black or gray. can someone post a pic of this car? thanks!

Car is red, always was.
Running 5% on sides and back.
The bumper cost me about $5 fo sandpaper and $5 for a rattle can of black bumper paint. The B-pillar, I used left over onyx black and clear from my V6 firebird that my dad painted so I can't really give you a cost on that. It is def. something you would want a pro to do, I did all the prep work for it but I had my old man lay down the paint and clear because that used to be his profession.
I was goign to change the color the car this summer but after looking at the cost and the hassle it's not worth it (yet), so we are going to sand down the clear, throw on a fresh coat of red, and clear again, because my front bumper is totally destroyed and swirl marks, chips, and scratches are making me go crazy. THank you for the complients btw

very nice, a mono chrome top makes the cars appear much longer and add alot to the car. i would say leave the spoiler alone, only thing i would do is find a hood for it IMO. awesome look.

I think a combination between porksoda's pictures and BlackHawk's pictures, along with a custom mixed red thats maybe darker and richer than the factory color would really set the car off and make for a one-of-a-kind F-Body that would be gorgeous. Just my two pennies.

painting the spoiler would just be overdoing it in my own opinion! If I didn't paint the b-pillar i was going to do the spoiler, but doing both is just like whoa! and the lines don't flow from the b-pillar to the spoiler (spoiler comes down to low on the quarter panel).

DirtyBird leave the car as it is, its beautiful. I know what you mean about swirls and stuff, Me and my old man are currently painting mine, still black though. IF ANYTHING, throw a Ram Air hood like mine on it, but it looks great as it sits.

For an LT1 WS6, or LT1 based ram air car I'd just do a 30th anniversary style stripe instead of the way the white car is painted. That just looks like you bought a RA scoop and slapped it on to me.
I dont care for the entire spoiler, or the top painted either for the exact reason DirtyBird said. It just doesnt flow at all.
Dirty, your car is nice the way it is. I'd leave it alone for now. Having 5% windows, and the black B pilar def is and makes the entire canopy area look sick. Your setup is very nice the way it is.

Thanks for the compliments! I am leaving it as is haha! Ram Air hood is def. a possibility this summer, but no stripes or anything. I need to finish my interior first, get the bitch dropped, and finish my projector headlight project!
