Default Fresh Shine - paint on a 7 - year daily driver

I spent the biggest part of the day yesterday doing a complete make-over on the car's surface. Here are the following steps.

1.) Wash (Meguiars NXT wash)
2.) Clay Bar entire car
3.) Meguiar's ScratchX - entire car
4.) Polish (Meguiar's Deep Crystal)
5.) Wax - (2 coats of Meguair's NXT Tech Wax)

Although I think my right arm is about to fall off this morning, I think the paint turned out great. Especially considering that I purchased this car new in '98 and it has been a daily driver since. I will post full pics of the car after putting the new wheels / tires on today. It is currently in the garage on jack stands.

I did the same thing with the same products. I can't believe you tackled it all in one day. I had to spread it out over a week's time...

Ooops...the car is black with dark charcoal interior. And I had nothing better to do all day, so what the heck. Now, if I can just figure out how to drive it without getting it dirty.

I made a post in the wheel and tire section to show off the new shoes I also put on this weekend. Here is a link with about 12 pics.

Does adding two coats of wax at the end (like you did with the nxt) help at all? Obviously your paint looks real nice so i'm figuring it does, but does it stay that way for longer with 2 coats of wax as opposed to 1? Thanks.

Honestly, I have no idea....lol. I only do it for 2 reasons.

1.) Make sure I hit any spots that I may have missed with the first coat.
2.) That is the way my dad taught me growing up.

Not very good scientific facts, but that all I have.

Thanks though.
