Anyone have the Year One Houndstooth seat covers?
I have been contemplating these and was just wondering if these are good quality and what the black/white ones look like. Says they are vinyl though, not sure if i'm ready to give up my leather for some cheap looking vinyl, post pics if you have them.

looks to me like you have to remove the original cloth/leather from the padded seat and then put these on in place with hog rings thats why I wanted to make sure they were decent, I mean $650 for the whole set and I would have to tear my seats apart to do it, sounds risky. I was wondering if these were the same that the ZL1s had in them, cause thats the look I was going for.

I called Leatherseats.com the other day to inquire about a set of leather covers for my SS. A friend of mine had a friend who put a set of covers he got for his 94 Supra in there and they look/feel great he said. The guy told me it would cost $680 for a set of all 4 covers. The only downside...is you have to remove the old ones and put the new ones and I'm not sure I feel comfortable doing that.

The ZL1's do NOT have vinyl in them. They are all either factory leather with just the material inserts or custom colored leather. Matt Berger has orange leather and orange/black houndstooth in his ZL1 and he also has custom dyed yellow leather and yellow/black houndstooth in his personal Berger SS car. I'd like houndstooth inserts but I'm not going with vinyl. I'll have my factory seat covers redone with houndstooth inserts first.

I figured the ZL1's wouldn't have vinyl in them thats why I really wanted to stick with leather, as it happens my uncle who owns a shop has a guy who does custom upholstery in my area, gotta talk to him soon and see what he wants to have the houndstooth inserts put in (im assuming a lot less than $650) and those seat covers from fbodymotorsports look sweet too, thanks for the info guys.
