Default Born on Date & plate for LS1 engine

I have seen many cars with the plate bolted to the front of the head with their car # of how many built that year. How do I find this info and purchase this bolt on plate. Thanks

I have seen these on many cars TA's as well as SS's. Not an SLP only deal.

i believe they were made by MBA (mallory billet aluminum).. but unfortunatly they are no longer in business..... thunder racing has all their old stock, but nearly everything is gone.... check um out to see whats left....... there maybe another place that made them, but i dont know where u would get them..... if u find someplace that still makes them be sure to post up....

Yep, you're right. They have the remaining stock, and aren't accepting any custom orders.

You could always fab your own plate and see if a trophy shop could engrave it for you?

Does anyone know anybody that has the licensing for the GM emblems that can engrave the plates?!?
I need someone who can engrave the SS, Phoenix, Firehawk, Trans Am, etc., etc. with car numbers on these things!
I could also use someone who can anodize in the GM colors, black, white, silver, pewter, red, som, nbm, ...

Somebody out there has to be able to make these. It seem any true enthusiast would want their # on the car if they could get it. An anodized red would work great for me. Maybe I've peaked some interest here

I can probably have raw stainless plates made in bulk, but I'm not licensed by GM to use their logos...

I could polish/anodize/powder coat, and have a shop engrave "censored" info on them...

How much do you think they'll cost to make? What's a realistic finished price on those items?

that would be pimp **** if you had some made up.....hmmm i think that might be a high selling item on ur site, especially for the people who cant afford all the polished or carbon fiber stuff... i think eveybody deserves a stylish engine compartment.... but nothing will beat the products you have now, it would just add to the madness

I've made my own version, CAD drawing & everything, ..., & have a business who can do the laser cut for me. I just need the rest & have no where to go, ...
I was planning on making them from 1/8" thick aluminum plate, but the engraver I had lined up went out of business.
I don't know anyone who does anodizing either. (Well I do, but only black, ...)

It cost me about $40~45 a few years ago when I had some done. I did 20 of them at 1 time. Had them cut, polished, powder coated (most of them), laser engraved/regular engraved and filled with paint. The main problem for me was that I'm not setup to do the work so I spent too much time running them from shop to shop for me to want to do it again. I also did an intake plate for the open area in the front of the LS6 intake.

Please don't PM or email to make you one I just don't have the time it takes, sorry.

id pay 40 bucks tops for one, thats to my specs. and i think just basic should be around 30 bucks

that means if u got 20 made for 40 bucks each one cost u two dollars. add 8 to ship so 10 bucks and ur still making 20-30 on each plate. and i know ud sell a **** load
