93-97 F body pontiac question for site tech
i know that there are 4 variations of the F body pontiac (base, trans am, WS6, and Firehawk), but my question pertains to what are the difference between them body wise (fenders, front end, rear...ex)....
PS i do know there are engine differences i just want to know body differences

body style is all the same, the base is the firebird which doesnt have side skirts, the trans am has side skirts, the ws6 and firehawk have side skirts and different hoods.

Firehawk was an aftermarket thing, right? Done by SLP? So I don't know if you consider that one of the firebird "models".
But there is the base Firebird, the Firebird Formula, the Trans Am, and the Trans Am WS6.
The Firebird and Formula have a different front end than the Trans Am and WS6, and also the low spoiler. Then I think all of them but the base Firebird have ground effects (maybe not the Formula, not sure). And then the WS6 has a ram air hood, upgraded suspension and exhaust, and maybe some other stuff.
As far as interior I'm not really sure. I think its all the same, just different by the options it got.
Then theres the Firehawk, Mecham, Blackbird, etc. Firebirds that have been sent to aftermarket companies to get more upgrades. And their all different in little ways too.
Edit: Another thing, some V6 base firebirds during certain years had the option to get a ground effects package, but I forget all the details on that.

OK CLEARING THIS UP TO END ALL THE CONFUSION!!
Firebird and Firebird Forumla:
-Have the same front [foglights on the far sides of bumper] and rear bumpers[ no exhaust cutouts]
-No ground effects
-No high rise spoiler [little molded spoiler]
-16 in. Rims
-->WS.6 Formula's look exactly like a stock Formula with the exception of the ram air hood and 17 inch wheels.
Trans Am's:
-Different front bumper [foglights centered around liscence plate]
-Different Rear Bumper [ground effects molded into the sides with exhaust cutouts]
-Side Skirt Ground Effects
-16 in. Rims
-->WS.6 Trans Am's look exactly like a stock trans am with the exception of 17in. wheels and the Ram-Air hood.
Firehawks are offered in Formula style looks and Trans Am style Looks. Formula Firehawks look like a stock formula with the exception of 17in. wheels and the firehawk hood. Trans Am Firehawks look like a stock Trans Am with the exception of 17in. wheels and a Firehawk hood. Some Firehawks did come with optional spoilers that were considered a rare option. I'll add some pics to ease the confusion.
The cars all share the same: stock hoods, front and rear fenders and doors.
Firebird / Formula -- Note: This is my car, and the ground effects are not stock, I got them from a T/A, just so you don't get confused.
Formula WS.6
Trans Am
Trans Am WS.6
Formula Firehawk
Trans Am Firehawk
I Know you want 93-97, but it's the same difference. Only thing is the front bumpers and ws.6 hoods aren't the same. Meh.
