Default bad weekend for the camaro (pics) :(

first i take it to get some new tires put on, and they bent in the tabs that the fenders bolt to, breaking off the bottoms of the fenders and pusing them out. its like they have no clue that those lifts come with rubber blocks for the body seam. and them i was leaving my parking spot at my dorm and completely forgot that i parked next to a 3ft pole. needless to say i turned straight into it and side-swiped the passenger side of my car. i feel like a freaking moron. but thankfully i have a really good body man in my family. he put some screws in the bottom of my fenders to pull them in (see the green circles), and next week he is gonna fix the passenger side of my car.

poly bushings

sorry about the crappy pics. just kinda held the cam underneath the car and pushed the button

Ehh don't worry about it.. you'll get er back in shape soon. Doesn't look all that bad on the passenger side.

ya it is. i cant believe how much the door flexed. its barely tweaked, but i guess its no big deal, my guy just said all he has to do is roll out the door. he said he might even be able to pull out the rocker, but he is expecting to have to cut it and roll it out.

thats funny, he said it would be around 300 for me, if he cant pull it out and if he can do that it will be alot cheaper. he is kind of slow, but the work is great. im just bummed because i would rather spend money of fun stuff, but i dont want to drive around a wrecked car. just some unexpected expenses i guess it happens to everyone

i think i might get some money from the tire place. i talked to the manager earlier today. he said that i will have to drive it by so he can look at it. but he was real cool, i told him that i will be getting body work done and that crap needs to be fixed and i wanted to see what he could do. he seemed real understanding, so ive got my fingers crossed

Camaro is in the body shop! Tire place is paying out. i had some crazy quotes for them. $2100, $1600, and $1300 for new fenders. but they had me go to someone who does work for them and he quoted me $830 for fender repairs. i know i kinda got worked there because i had to mention that this was for the tire place. everyone told me that my fenders are basically unrepairable. but i dunno i might just put in another screw down there, i could have fun with $800

What in the HELL is the matter with these shops??? The tire shop around here broke the damn tabs on my moms Z28 and almost did it to mine before they caught and didn't ruin it completely. Seriously how f*cking dumb do you have to be to lift the car up from there. Sorry to rant but that really irritates me.....there is nothing worse than a Camaro with broken flared out quarters.

well, hey i'm getting paid. im sure a ton of people have this problem. im sure i could have gottem more money from them, but i was just ready to resolve everything. i bet you could just take your car to a big tire place and have them rotate your tires or something. and then say they messed up your fenders when they lifted it. they do not pay attention to anything. if they dont know how to jack up a car, how are they going to notice that your fenders are already messed up. im sure that there are some people on here who work for tire shops. im not trying to say everyone who works at tire shops are morons: just the people i have had experence with. everytime i go to one it is just more motivation to keep going to school

Furthermore the car has been out since 92 (as a 93 model) and these dumbasses still have no clue about the plastic fenders.
