Default Waxing/cleaning/claybar WHITE cars! Step inside....

So, after reading the thread with the uncles red TA for sale that the guy is detailing for him, it made me really want to detail mine since I haven't got a chance to go over it completely since I bought the car.

Post pics of your white cars before/during/after or whenever during a wax, I want to see a dirty white cars transformation into a squeeky clean white car!

I'd like to see more detailed white cars or, know of any tips/tricks. mine has never been cleaned "in depth" As warmer weather comes I want to do it all. I am kind of iffy on using a buffer though. I've seen lots of threads where people screw it up.

you just have to be really careful and go at a slow speed just as you do by hand. it was my first time too with a $20 buffer that i got from a friend

Very nice. I wax mine 2-3 times during the summer. I also use a claybar to get those damn bugs and crap off the front.

you can buff at a faster speed, just dont hold the buff in one spot to long, with white cars the paint will turn yellow before it burns to bad, watch out for the rubber/plastic, use a good amount of compound.

my process when cleaning for AutoFair is:

wash
clay
wash
step 1
step 2
step 3 (all by hand)
wash
NXT wax by hand

i just like using my hand, in the end it takes forever...2-3 days of working at a relaxed pace and just chilling with my buds...but ultimately i think it comes out amazing.

btw next step is to paint the B pillar, mirrors, finish off the mini ceta with the same paint, polish off the center piece between the tail lights and paint the door handles white and get smooth locks...then i'm done with the outside...except for a ram air hood. lol

Haha, thanks man. That's what 2 days of work looks like. This Spring it'll be 3 days and even look better than that. People say black is the ultimate detailer's test and it's very true... but white ain't too far off in terms of getting a nice *deep* reflection.
