my hood on my z28 has a few very minor rock chips that don't look bad normally but after i wax it with the turttle wax i've been using you really notice the white paste stuck in the chips of a blue car making it look terrible. Is there a wax that wouldn't make it so noticeable like a clear liquid that i could use or how to clean out the chips better?

I'm afraid it's going to be like that for most waxes. Have you tried Meguiar's NXT yet? It's not very durable, but seems to go on a bit easier and lighter than most waxes I've tried. Maybe that could work for ya.

get a can of matching touch-up paint and pray some into the lid. take a toothpick, dip the very end into the paint, and dot in all the spots where it's chipped on the hood. a toothpick does wonders for filling in all those little imperfections from rock chips.

Quality waxes shouldn't leave a heavy build-up in cracks, crevices, etc.

Stay away from Turtle Wax.
