SS grille on hood, how to remove?

I have done it many times over the years to put some back-to-black on it. I take a twist tie and loop it through to form a handle. Then take a flat jeweler's screwdriver to lift up on a couple of the tabs and pull the grille out.

I used a regular peice of wire and wound it though a couple holes near the corner and used a little bit of muscle. Once you get one of the corners started it pops right out.
