Default Making head plate - input?

I was toying with the idea of making one for a while now and finally made a template and it fits really good. i was wondering if i just used steel that i could paint it with Hight-Temp paint and maybe clearcoat it... does anyone know if this paint will hold up to the heat and would the clearcoat? or should i find some other kind of metal to use? thanks

Steel will hold up and high temp paint will hold up, they even sell high temp clear coat. If you decide not to make one or need the bolts, we sell both
