Default Make you own CME tips?

I have been searching for a CME exhaust, well we all know how much these things go for. I was looking on ebay and I found the for 400 bucks! . Well what do you think about taking some stock exhaust tips and some how fabbing them up to look like the cme's. I know it isn't gonna look near as good but I think 2 stockers under the license plate would look real nice.

Just shooting around some ideas what do you think?

I have seen them and since they are rectangular with sharp edges it does not match the valence, and looks pretty bad...IMO

Keep looking around. You can get the cme tips for around $250.

I bet there are some deals out there, but I just figured I would see if anyone did it. Tons cheaper!

I am gonna try to get a picture of my old exhaust on my LT1, I put some slash cut rectangle/square tip ones under the plate. I really like the look, I just wanna see what the stockers look like.

mcgodx that does look real nice, where you going for the vette look?
