Intimidator Imitator?
I'm thinking of replicating the super rare Dale Earnhardt "Intimidator SS" Camaro after seeing #38 of 83 in a muscle car museum in pigeon forge tn.
Should I go for it? I'm a huge Sr and Jr fan, so its kind of paying homage to Dale Sr.
Wouldn't put the Dale emblems on it, #1 because I could never in a million years find any, and #2 out of respect for the 83 lucky, lucky owners. I shouldn't infringe!
So basically the silver stinger and stripe, and similar wheels, the grille and the flat black berger panel.
look here if youve never seen it:

So should I do it or is this a idea?

no ****? damn i got ripped off!!
haha just kidding. The entire front clip is from the Silverado SS (grille is from the intimidator ss silverado, grey honeycomb mesh instead of black) Lots of hard work in that truck, so don't knock it or I'll bust yer teeth in! Just kidding. I'm an ******* tonite. Sorry!
Anyways, I instantly fell in love with the car when I saw it. Just having a hard time deciding, since we're painting it next week.

I like the idea personally. I've always liked that car as well.
The grill and front ss badge is an easy replication...however you do have a Z28, so thats a fine line between cool and poser to sport the ss badge
The satin tailpanel, camaro fill-ins, and rear badging is easy as well.
Definitely spend your money on the wheels, they're expensive, but I think they make the car. If you get something 'close' then it may not have the same effect. I'd do everything except for the official stuff...such as getting a GMMG catback for it (find one used to save some bucks, but def. one with the oval tips) and do the GMMG emblem on the tail panel instead of the Dale Earnhardt badge so it's not a total farse.

i think its a great idea. make sure you get the correct paint color for the manta stripe and the right wheels, which are american racing 200S
and youd have to get the gmmg exhaust or at least the tips. and the rest of the toher stuff mentioned above.
and i also found these:

Doing the same appearance mods -- wheels, grille, manta, Berger, GMMG exhaust, etc. -- without the badges (which you'll never find anyway) would make a good looking car. No need to even mention the Intimidator, because you're not using the badges or stickers or anything. You're just doing normall, everyday appearance mods to a black SS.
For instance, I love the white Berger SS with the red stripes. I have a white Camaro with white leather. Going to get a SS hood, paint red stripes on it, get Fiske FM5's and get red incerts on my white leather. Has nothing to do with the Berger SS. Just that I like the way that Camaro looks.
