Default polished shift stick...

so i noticed that the shift stick on my car was aluminum, but coated with a thin coating of gray/green/black paint, so i decided to sand it off, and polish it up.

i started with a 220 grit sand paper, wrapping it around and pulling from side to side.
then i moved on to an 800 grit paper, using it the same way, then 1500, and 2000, then i grabbed this amazing stuff... brassos brass polish.
poured a little on a rag, and wrapped the rag around the shift stick, and used the rage the same way i used the sand paper.

i'm really please with the results.
idk if this has been done before, but it really wasn't that hard... (my car is an auto)

here's the results:

i think it will really set off once i get the console and everything back in.

tell me what you think.

I'd have to see it all together, the stick itself looks good though.
