Upgrade from Yank SS3600??
Running a Yank SS3600 in my 02 TA and have been very happy with it but I'm only getting 1.7 60fts with ET Streets and think I should be a little better. Shift points are set at 6700rpm. With a 150 shot my 60's are in the 1.5's. Was wondering if I should move up to a SS4000 or another convertor? I run my car both NA and with the 150 shot so I need a convertor that is nitrous friendly. Car is full weight and 100% stock suspension. Any suggestions?

Seriously, you are on a Stock suspension. You need a full set up and you will be in the 1.5s or lower.
You have no idea how much more a full suspension would help you and what difference it makes.

Well, the question about suspension is, are you hooking? If you're hooking, adding a bunch of suspension parts isn't going to improve your 60'.
I went from a TCI 3000 to a Yank 3600 and haven't seen much of an improvement in my 60'. Still hoping to get some good air before the season ends and see if I can beat my previous best. My point is that I doubt going up to a SS4000 is going to make a huge difference.
Moving to a Yank PT series converter will make a difference. But I don't know how nitrous friendly they are. Talk to Yank.
Other than that, if you're hooking, making more power is the answer to being quicker.

I also have a Yank 3600 in a RPM Tranny with full UMI Suspension and I run 12.1 in the 1/4 with high 1.7 sixties on motor and I am DEAD HOOKING. I have ponderd switching to a Vig , but I am curious to see how it is going to perform on Spray.
Just figured you'd wanna know your not alone with these 60' times with a YANK

Hooking is not an issue, the car hooks hard and doesn't spin. I know there are lots of cars with less power that get 1.5,1.6 60fts NA with stock suspension. I need to call Yank.

I guess I shoudn't complain then. SS3600, low 1.6x's on motor and a new best of 1.47 on the 130 shot. Car has a few suspension pieces, but sits on Eibach Pros and stock shocks.

Stalling it up to 2000 seems to work best and is a little easier on the 10 bolt, LOL! Nitrous comes on at 3200....so pretty much out of the hole! If I ran NA all the time, the SS4000 would be a no brainer. Anyone have experience with the SS4000 and nitrous? Someone said the Speed Inc. guys have used have used that convertor with good results.

I have the Yank 3400 extreme pulling 1.7's all day. I just dropped my car off today to get a new 3600SS put in. Its a STR difference of 2.30 to 2.50 That should make a difference. I also have stock shocks and springs. BMR subs, lca and t/a. Thats it for suspension.
My stock 10-bolt loves me!!!
