Default LS1 Stock Shifter question

I got the console off and almost getting ready to get the shifter out.....

The 4th gen shifter has a lot for wires and cables compared to a 3rd gen.

Guys,

Help me identify these and let me know which one is required.

2002 T/A - 4L60E

Last question,
The black curvey looking thing that has a connector with bunch of wires going to them...

My 3rd gen also has the same but since its a 3 speed and the donor transmission is a 4 speed , I am guessing I would need this to get the transmission to shift ??
what is it technically called and where does the other end of the wires end up ?

The Cable to the left that goes to the transmission is what actually moves the gear selsctor on the trans when you move the shifter, the solenoid is a revers lockout i belive i may be wrong on that and the gray and black cable is the shiftinterlock cable which unlocks the shifter once the brake is applied allowing it to come out of park.

Anyone know what the black solinoid is for ? (in 2nd picture above). if it is the reverse lockout how does it function ? there are wires from it going into the harness.

I am doing a LS1 swap into a 3rd gen. the 82 originally came with a 3 speed. So the shifter assembly is entirely different. I was able to get a shifter out of a 700R4 3rd gen camaro and it didnt have that solinoid.

I just want to make sure that if this is required for som kind of signalling to the 4L60E or PCM.

BTW the shifter came out of a 2002 trans Am if anybody have a service manual they can look into.

All help is appriciated
