Default Truck and car 4l60e

Is the 99up 4l60e that come behind the 5.3 trucks/tahoes the same as the 98up fbody 4l60e? Are the torque convertors the same? Thanks folks.

If its 2wd its the same with the exception of the tail housing and the shifter linkage rod , And the 2nd gear servo is smaller all easily swapped out , The converters are the same

bringing up an old thread from the dead.... I'm considering a 5.3L/4L60E as a swap combo(if I come across one at the right price)... for another project.

how does the tailshaft housing differ? is it that it just doesn't have provisions for the torque arm? (thinking about swap applications, etc..)

is the shifter linkage rod just longer(stick out slightly more)?

how will the smaller 2nd gear servo affect performance?

Trucks have no torque arm provisions.

Not sure on the 2nd gear servo.
