i was gonna get one-which filter are you using, the late model one with 4 **** on it, or earlier one that is flat on the bottom
if you have the late one, maybe the early one will fit-do they mention anything in the insts.
how close is it?-if your using a shift kit w/v/b stiffiner, it makes it tighter, pushes the filter towards the pan

Using the late model filter... with the 4 ****
I think you got it because that is where the pan hits, along with the slightly thicker vlave body plate would do it. Nothing is mentioned but I will check the auto parts stores and atleast look at the earlier filters.

Got it worked out.
For future reference, those with 4l80's; regardless of the year of your transmission, you must use the earlier model (flat) filter when using the derale pan.
