I have a fresh rebuilt 4l80e trans in my old rod and don't know what fluid to use.I am looking for some advise.Thanks Dan

advance auto part brand DEX/Mercon, Buy a gallon jugs. or any regular dex/mercon , they work best for our tranny.

That is some of the worst fluid I have ever used. It even smells burnt out of the bottle.

wat ? look bright red and smell sweat ( like I want drink it ) to me. Same as castrol.

Maybe they have different vendors making their fluid? I bought some about 6 months ago, and put it in the trans before I realized it had a nasty odor to it. It was a nice pink color, but just smelled like it was burnt down. I ended up flushing the trans to get that stuff out of there.

Its hard to tell the condition of the fluid if it already stinks right out of the bottle.
