Tuning after stall
So... Installed my yank ss3600 in my 2k ws6 a few weeks ago and I'm never looking back. Car is untuned and appears to be shifting well, not bouncing off the limiter. Holding off on getting my tune since I'm going to vegas next week and also want to install my underdrive pulley to take full advantage of tuning. Car will basically have full bolt ons (no h/c or n20) would it be smart to get some tuning done now or can it wait for cam and heads?

When going down long downhill grades car feels like it's in neutral half the time. Is this limp mode you refered to? Also will tuning help drivability at low speeds?

Thanks for the friendly input. I'll be doing business with you in the near future since I plan on getting the ws6 in the low 12's and we know the stock 4l60e probably won't last long.

I noticed a big difference in performance and driveability after my tune and I just put in a 3000 stall. That being said, if your doing the cam soon I would wait and not pay for two tunes.

From everyones experience what will my 2k ws6 run in the quarter with pacesetter race long tubes, Texas speed catted y, slp power flo cat back, ls6 manifold, 160 thermo, lid, plugs wires, underdrive pulley, ported throttle body, diablo tune (removed torque managment), full suspension, bfg kdw, and of course my ss3600. Will find out for a fact when I get back from Las Vegas in 2 weeks, but wanted a racers opinion.

I ordered my trans through Performabuilt, great company to work with. I ordered the level 2 4l60e. I havent gotten it in the car yet but it should be in in the next month and if you havent gotten yours yet ill fill you in on the awesomeness. Ill be pushing a PT4400 soo, it might be a little different lol.
As for the tune, I would get one, remove torque management and change full throttle and part throttle shift points that way you can have a mix between street/strip.
