how much power/abuse have you guys put one of these through? and what stuff have you done to them?

they are rated at 460lbsTQ from the factory.
Anyone that goes to the trouble of the swap should put in a transgo HD2 kit at least

have u seen that transgo has 2 different kits for the 4l80e. and they only cover model years up to 2004. or is it just an old ad?

doesn't say anything about stopping at 04.
the 4l85e came out then though so maybe that's why some place listed it like that.

shift kit help a lot? im about to stick a stock 80 in my car...dont want it to shift hard and break stuff

this is true, but that is in a 7000lbs truck. so it will be closer to 590ish to 625 lbs of tq in a car.
