Default Tranny Questions

I just had my tranny rebuilt by a gm tech and now i dont have 4th gear. also we put the Transgo HD2 shift kit in the car and the shifts really soft. would low line pressure cause no 4th and soft shifts?

Did you have a upgraded 4th gear servo installed as well? Or was the shift kit the only "upgrade"? I am by no means a trans pro but I know if the 4th gear servo...retaining ring (I believe it is) isn't installed correctly it will cause a no 4th gear issue. Have you showed the tech who rebuilt it? He is probably your best bet at figuring it out since he did the work.

I would get with the GM tech having soft shifts and no 4th are likley two different problems. Most important do not continue to drive it till these issues are solved.

I found my problem. The valve body was messed up. Put new one in and it fixed all the problems
