I'm currently performing the actual engine/trans swap into my car this weekend, and ran into this problem. Are there different lengths of tail housings for the 2wd 4l80e? If so, any idea where I can source one? The housing appears to be 1" too short to mate with the BMR conversion crossmember. And no...the nasty mount in the pic is just for mock-up lol

The housing that you have is the only 2wd one I would use. The only other one that I am aware of is for a truck that uses a parking brake drum bolted to the housing. I think you might have to flip your mount or crossmember around. Vince
