How to be sure if converter is fully seated?
Well I'm finally putting my yank ss600 stall in, im not sure if it fits as close as the stocker. It seems likes its all the way on, but I really want to be sure so i don't ruin it down the road. I was looking at the guide and looked at this: GM 700 R4, 4L60E, 200-4R = 1.125" from bellhousing to converter pads. It seems close to that but maybe a little less more like an inch or a little under and inch? Is there any other methods to check before i put this back into my car?

I know mine was 1inch exact when seated. It sounds like you have it on all the way. Maybe wiggle it and turn it some more and see if it slides on more just to be safe. Otherwise i think your good to go. Theres not any scientific way, you kinda just know when its on all the way.

Brians got it three clunks. If I remember correctly when we did my buddy's there was just barely enough room to slide your fingers between the converter and the pump
Yank is on here though I am sure you could send him a pm

3 solid clicks,1.125" from bellhousing to converter pads.( we do assume you are useing stock flex plate) , after you stab the trans, measure from the pads to the point on the flex where the pads connect use a feeler gauge OR get 3 drill bits 1/16. 1/8 amd 3/16 ideal setting would be 1/8=1.250, so if the 1/16 sloppy , the 3/16 will not fit, and the 1/8 feels good you should be good to go
just a side note:: be sure your converter mounting bolts do not bottom ouy
