Default New Fbody owner. Transmission question...

I just got into a 1998 Camaro SS, AUTO. Currently, it has a very mild cam, a 3200 stall, and bolt ons. Stock ls1 intake and stock heads. I was wondering do the SS's come with transmission coolers, stock? Also, are the trannies known for going out, with a stall?

yep they come with coolers stock, its built into the radiator. You should have a separate cooler with a stall though.. A stall alone wont kill a tranny as long you keep the fluid cool but it sure isnt going to increase the life expectancy. Theres obviously a chance it wont last as long as with a stock converter though due to the added performance. The 4l60e is actually a pretty good transmission despite what you read from a lot of people...
