Default 4160e sluggish shifts

Working on my brother in law's 95 Z28. The transmission in it now is a reman or rebuilt that he got off of ebay. It has very soft shifts and now has got to the point that it will not shift 1-2 or 2-3 under wot. I put a corvette servo in it and it will shift now but hits the rev limiter for split second before going into second. Any suggestions to get it to shift quicker, slp shift improvement module, shift kit, boost valve?

What was the trans build for a stock car?
Did they even ask?

It sounds to me like someones going to have to take it apart and see whats in it and what condition it's all in. You say it had soft shifts and now it won't shift at WOT, maybe it burned or glazed the clutches.

Not sure about the internals I know he didn't give alot for it, I think around 400 dollars. The corvette servo did firm the shifts up some but it still needs a little more. The trans only has a few thousand miles on it and shifts good normal driving just not as firm as I would like it to be. Has anyone tried the slp module on a LT1? It would be an easier install than a shift kit.
