Circle D has revised our setup to take longer bolts. We now ship our single disk converters with 16mm long bolts and our multi disk with 20mm long bolts. We are also using the better 10.9 grade bolts for superior strength. We decided to ditch the shorter, weaker 12mm style bolts, just not enough thread engagement. We have had this upgrade for a few weeks now, just wanted to let you guys know.

So Chris if we bought a converter from you last year then we probably received the shorter bolts is this something we should replace?

We have not seen a huge problem, but if you had to shim it then it might be a good idea. I will send the bolts out for free if you guys want to upgrade.

I noticed this when you sent my 2B a few weeks ago. Even though it had the longer bolts than my 4C did, I still couldn't use them because they bottomed out in the converter pads before hitting the flexplate. I just bought a FLT trans and hopefully I wont need a shim cause those bolts are really short.
