Default vigalante converter failure. second time

so ive got a vig stall in my gto and this is the second time i have had problems. both times i was cruising down the road and lost all gears. nothing but park and reverse left. both times the stator on the convertor has broken. here are some pics from this time. i couldnt even get the converter out of the trans without alot of work. anybody else ever had this problem or have any suggestions on what could be causing the failure?

That does not look like the converters fault. It looks like the pump rotor & slide broke & that took out the neck. You need to upgrade to a billet rotor. Was the converter shimmed properly?Whats your line pressure?

What did Vigilante have to say? I assume you contacted them.

Could be a converter spacing issue. The converter might not have been seated into the pump far enough.

My thoughts exactly! My Vig- was right at the limit, so I put some hardend washers in between the flexplate and TC with ARP bolts which are slightly longer than the supplied Vig- bolts, works great so far.
