Default Torque converter bolts

Has anyone had any trouble getting the torque converter bolts out? I have a LS1 out of a 2000 SS Camaro, I cant get the bolts out. Also does anyone know the correct hex size for them?

Lots of people have trouble. Some people end up cutting them or drilling them out. I recommend getting a complete set of star bits. They come in handy.

Those things are really in there, I used a 3 foot extension up over the K member to up front and a 24 inch breaker bar to get em out

I've never had an issue. I've taken them out dozens of times, maybe some are just tighter. Just don't strip it, whatever you do. I have done that, and its damn near impossible to get the tranny off the torque converter when its still bolted to the flex plate.
