Do you have the rear sensor on the trans hooked up? Also are you sure that the reluctor ring is on the rear planet so the speed sensor has something to read of off?

Does the 60E tune use the ISS sensor? Do you have EFI Live?

no we are using HPTuners.. i read somewhere that there is a write up with instructions here on ls1tech on how to do the conversion using the E40 ECM and the stock 4L60 TCM.. but havent had any luck finding it.. supposeably you just have to re pin a couple of things.. that would be awesome.

Problem with hptuners is you can't yet delete TCM codes.

Depends on if the 60E tune uses the ISS sensor.

IS this TXcoloradoSS truck from the nation?

I'd love to be able to help you, I have so far only done the 4L60E and manual trans swaps into the colorados. I make harness for those.

How did you program the TCM/PCM? The 2008 can would that be a T42 as well? You have to write the TCM and PCM together with GM TIS, before you can properly read right with HP tuners. You can sometimes write with HP but certain functions will be missing throttle control and, maybe vehicle speed?

The the 08 van would have had a E38, not a E40, I don't know that you will get them talking to each-other properly. You can flash a manual tune into the E40 and run the speed signal into the E40, speedo would work, but then I don't know weather the TCM/PCM will still function together. The TCM/PCM communicate via Can hi/lo, then the PCM sends the speedo message via serial data.

Are you getting any error codes? Can you log speed with HP tuners scanner?

4l60E to 4L80E

now the tune part maybe tricky. Are you using a 06 trailblazer tune? If so re-flash the T42 and E40 with a 06 trailblazer SS, it will have the I.S.S input senser. In the above link the computer pins are different I can tell you how to pin them to the T42 instead. Then you just need a good tune. You cannot perform segment swaps on E40 pcms and up, like you could on he LS1 style PCMs

Quick Reply: E40 ECM 4L80E conversion no speedometer
