Shouldn't have a hissing. As for climbing a "small" hill, that depends on your definition of small, but yes. If your converter is not locked up, then it will have to be up in the rpm's to move..

It ended up being REALLY low on fluid. IDK how in the world I lost so much. I put in 5qrts and thought I would be close. I ended up dumping a total of 8-9 qrts in and im gonna check it again. I drove for about 10 miles with it really low do you think I messed it up? I thought maybe the hissing was comming from the vent tube for some reason.

It sounds like you were way low on fluid. It is possible that you could have done damage to your trans because basically it was only half filled. I would make sure that it is full before driving it and also keep an eye on the fluid level for the next couple days. Vince

That was all because of you being low on fluid. Basically there was a bunch of air in the system that was foaming the oil and what not. Im sure that is fixed now that you have some oil in the system! Vince

Its very hard to imagine, but it takes 9-10 quarts to fill up a drained tranny thats been sitting for a while. Hard to imagine where all that fluid even goes in there.
Do you mean by a hill, taking off at a dead stop? Yeah it can take some rpm to get up one, and around your stall point it should start getting real responsive to get the car moving though, hill or not.

The hill im talking about was in my driveway and its before I knew I was really low on fluid. I was at 3k rpm and wasnt moving. It was my first time trying to drive the car so when the car would barely move im thinking...holy **** this is loose! But it was because the fluid was so low. Its great now. I did 150 miles but ill do wot tomorro. Even part throttle on the highway this thing is better than stock and its easy to drive.
I took the pan off and got almost 4 qrts, stock tc had a lot but I put all I could in the yank which was only 1/2 qrt, and when I had trans out I stood it up on the tail and got as much out as I could. I let it soak up in rags and it didnt look like much but I guess I was wrong but holy hell 8qrts!

Not the converter. Low fluid wasn't able to keep the clutches engaged and so it slipped. 10 miles, you most likely didn't do any damage except for a minute amount of clutch wear if you drove it easy. You're good.
