Default Hurst pistol grip in 6 speed console

has anyone done this? ive searched up and down and still have found nothing i want to be able to put this in my 6spd boot thing but im not sure it will fit with the trigger on it as well.

You will have to cut pretty deep, your better off getting an auto upper console, it will look way better. But you won't be able to use the square whole, the pistol grip has to sit much further back

Yep...B&M mega shifter, you can get a button on the side. That's what I switched from and the pistol grip is worlds better

Do u have to use the trigger at all times and why is the pistol grip so much better?

What pistol grip would u recommend to fit in a 6spd console that has a button. I want something CLEAN

You use the trigger to get out of park, reverse and to shift into 3rd...or first. Depending on valve body. Then going forward you have to use the trigger to go into neutral and what not. I dont know What shifters would fit in the square whole. It's the range of motion that's the problem. Plus sitting so far forward, it will hit the dash, if it's in where the stock shifter is. The pistol grip has a more solid feel then the ratchet shifter. Might just be personal taste. Plus the ratcheting got old...
