Minimum 4000 converter. You buy a max effort cam... You better have the "*****" to go all out otherwise it will run sub par times and you will be beat by smaller cam cars with a more well thought out setup.
bigger converter or choose a smaller cam.

Don't be afraid of a big converter. Period
I have a 4K stall in my bolt on car and honestly wish it was a tad looser.
While I do only drive my car 2-3 days a week because I have another car I could easily DD it.

Were not trying to flame you at all but it would be a wise choice to go with either a 4000+ converter or a smaller cam. I personally would do both.

I'd go no smaller than a 3600rpm stall speed for the Magic Stick cams, and if it's my car I'd go 4K.

MS cams need rpms. Your stock trans can't shift at 6500+rpm reliably anyway. In an auto car, a built trans is a must to run those cams without fear of busting your trans all to ****. So that "good deal" may not turn out so good when you are either losing races or replacing transmissions.

Manuals are more forgiving bc the trans isn't as prone to failure from rpm. The MS cams are designed to pull strong to 7k, maybe more...at the expense of low end torque. Your stock A4 tranny cannot and will not do this for very long. Your stock bottom end of your motor wont like turning 7k either. So if you are forced to suffer the loss of bottom end, but fail to reap the benefits of insane power from 6-7k....makes the cam seem kinda pointless.
