Default How do i get the torque converter loose?? NEED HELP QUICK.

My dad is taking my transmission out for me to replace the converter. He is just looking things over before he gets started and says he can't figure out how to take the converter loose. He says most transmissions have a plate to take loose giving you access to the flywheel/converter. So, since this transmission doesn't have one, do you just have to slide the transmission back or is there a trick we don't know about

Drop the starter and you access the bolts through there

+1. After dropping the starter, you will notice a small, plastic looking plate that bolts to the back of the oil pan on that side of the engine. It's the torque converter inspection plate which, when removed, will give you access to the torque converter bolts. You will have to rotate the flexplate around to get access to all of them. There are 3.

use a 1/8 x 2 flat bar about 12 in long insert into flywheel threw the round hole in botton of bellhouseing ,the notch in side will hold tool in place

PS:::
for some reason my drawing will not post right >>the base of the tool should be as wide as the top part with the teeth
