Definite tuning issue! I have a 3400 with a built trans so were pretty close on spec there. It does NOT feel like a normal auto car at all, but what your describing is no right. During normal driving it will do the whole leveling off thing as it shifts... almost feels like its slowing down and then it shifts. If your above 70% throttle or so it should hit pretty hard. Mine with 2.73's will bark 2nd at 60mph everytime and in inclimate weather will occassionally break loose at 3200 or 3400 rpm 1-2 shifts. Granted I make 400hp, it still would bark second when I was making 340ish hp.

Well at least its probably not my tranny about to take a dump on me lmao. Like I said if feels amazing when I manually go through the gears but when its in drive and I get on it, it doesn't feel right at all.

Well talked to the tuner today and he said he reduced the torque management but didn't delete it. So when I get it tuned again should it be deleted or just reduced more?

So when he does it there should be no torque management? And also kinda off topic but am getting a cam put in and that will need tuned. Is there anything specific I need to make sure he tunes for so I won't have to have it done again?

sounds like you need to cut the shift times down as well. seems like when the commanded shift comes the trans is lagging to get you into the next gear which is why your feeling that lag. a shift kit will definitly help make your trans shift better and last longer. I recommend the transgo HD2 kit for the 4l60e.

A Vig3600 is actually a good bit higher stall than 3600. I believe the rate them based on the LT1 so that is actually a fairly sloppy feeling 4100ish stall converter and if it's in a stock transmission it will probably feel pretty loose. Proper tuning can sure help it out though.
What gears do you have out back?
Are you having it tuned by a shop or and individual that does tuning for people? Just curious really. I don't mind looking at your tune if he needs help with it.

The cars fine with light throttle but when its anything more then light throttle the rpms don't shoot up the car feels flat and then shifts so it seems like from what everyone's been saying the torque management needs deleted and maybe the shift points adjusted. I called my tuner and he said he reduced It but didnt delete it. It is shop tuning it and I have stock 323s

I'd be tempted to have him delete all the TM to see if the problem is resolved. Those 3.23 gears with that loose converter will feel mushy, but not like you are describing. It should blow the tires off under hard acceleration IMO. I'm leaning towards an internal problem if removing all TM doesn't make a big difference.
Do you have any friends that have a 4000-4400 stall that you could drive as a comparison?
Just a thought

I don't have any friends with a stalled car but I'm thinking its the tuning too because when I manually shift it its great just when its in drive and with hard acceleration the car seems flat.

For my problems, I went to a professional and told the tuner at a very reputable shop this go around, to drive the car from his house to the shop so he could get an idea of what was going on. After a couple of weeks the shifts at all speeds etc were perfected. I almost sold the car and gave up on the damn thing because I was so sick of shity tunes...
