Default Torque converter visual inspection???

I have somewhat of a lack of knowledge with torque converters and recently installed my trans totally wrong. After not seating the torque converter in the transmission, pulling the bell housing to the block and raping my transmission front pump i need to know that if running the car like this also damaged the torque converter. Obviously I realized the horrors of my mistake upon not being able to engage in any gear and finding out i did not seat the tc. Anyhow the trans is out of the car and im just going to go ahead and get a built one but could anyone advise me if i can visually see if i damaged the tc by doing all this???? all input is appreciated
