torque converter vibration
I have a question to any who have gone from a stock torque converter to a good aftermarket one like a Yank. Has anyone noticed a reduction in vibration at idle when ditching the stock unit for a good torque converter? I am wondering how much of the vibration that is always present at idle is attributable to slight imbalance of the stock torque converter.

I never noticed a vibration stock, or with the TCI 3000,
but the Fuddle did give me a low frequency vibration.
Tried all 3 orientations w.r.t. the flexplate, no help.
When I put the cam in, though, I couldn't notice it
anymore. So there's your fix

Do you have the vibration at all times or only while the car is in gear? If it's only when it's in gear the converter might help. The good aftermarket converters are looser and lighter and put virtually no load on the engine at idle. Unlike the heavy tight stock converter. I use to have an occasional humm in the cabin on the stock stall, that's gone now with my SS4000. Nothing major, passengers never noticed but I picked up on it.
