Who to have restall my toque converter dilemma
I have billet 4L80 torque converter that needs to be tightend up, seeing 14% converter slippage. Should I package it up and send it to the builder or can I have someone local (western washington state) restall it?
I don't know enough about the process to have any clue if it matters. Don't want to loose all that down time, we aren't known up here for having a very long season.

How are you measuring the slippage?
Keep in mind you can lock it up at WOT as well.
A turbo combo can be tricky to setup and usually requires restalling to nail down and you get one free restall with our units, but there is some downtime involved.

I think my converter is a single disk lock up, with approximately 1000-1050chp I'm not sure how long it would last.
Yep, I understand about turbo cars.

It's a single disc lockup with a 12" disc and a much larger apply piston than the typical triple disc. IME it is more capable of WOT lockup than most triple disc units. Apply area trumps any small difference in friction area.
