Default Deciding on a trans cooler

Hey guys, I've seen lots of threads about trans coolers obviously, but I was wondering what the biggest size measurement cooler will fit in the traditional mounting style on the condenser. I was looking at a B&M 70264 which I know will fit, but I was also considering a Hayden 678 or 679. The Haydens are taller and less thick so I don't know if that would cause a fitment problem or be less efficient than the thicker B&M. Also, for those that have any of those 3 coolers, what temps do you usually see? I would probably get a 3600 stall around a 2.3 STR. I don't plan on getting a deep pan, so what would be the best, most accurate, (and most cost friendly) option for trans temp gauge?

In your case you probably have to mount it flat aka "dope" style. Search it and you should find a write up about it.

I run a smaller cooler on radiator. My ac is removed and I run a ac version ssra. Its a great setup.
Thinking of upgrading the cooler to a bigger b an m though.

I ran a b&m 70264 for about 500 miles (for sale of interested) and decided since I'm not running a ram air kit atm that I'll get a bigger tube and fun style cooler and it's mounted on the condenser.

the basic rule is, you run the biggest cooler you can fit and afford to buy....
the bigger the gvw rating it has, the better cooler it is...

bigger is better most of the time when it comes to a trans cooler

Lol yes I understand this, but I was asking what the biggest one is that will fit so that I know what the size limits are. I don't want to buy one and have it not fit.

Greg at FTI suggested the Hayden 1404 (22k GVW) since it is smaller and will fit and he keeps it in stock but it's also a tube style and I'd rather have plate style.
