Whats involved with a swap from 6-spd to turbo 350
I am really considering putting a turbo 350 in my 02 ss. It is a six speed car and the trans is blown.
What do i have to do to complete this swap? I know i need a flexplate, but i;m sure it wont bolt right in.
If anybody is familiar with this swap, please let me know

Hello
I'm doing a swap on my t/a soon. If u order a stall from one if the sponsors on here they can make your stall to bolt right up to your stock flexplate.. Just tell them your doing a th350 swap on your f body.
This is what I had to swap
1.B&m tranny cooler with braided lines jegs have the kit. $160
2.Yank tranny crossmember $150
3. B&m shifter with cable linkage bought the kit $250
4. Circle d flexplate sfi approved only $150
5. Deep stick from madman made to fit like stock on the th350 $75 or so.
6. Most likely ill be going with a circle d stall $750
I have a 9 inch rear end and a th350 with a 9 inch tail shaft witch mean I can reuse my stock driveshaft. If ubdont have that your going to have to get a new driveshaft and those run from $350/$450.
U can safe some money with the driveshaft and reuse your t56 crossmember and just use a spacer. U can do done more research on that don't really know much.

I don't know the answer to the spacer issue. Even if you need a custom converter, the converter sponsors here build everything to-order and it shouldn't raise the price by much.
Hopefully, this bumps your question to the top and someone will have more info.
If not, you might want to start a new thread "Whats involved with a swap from 6-spd to 700R4".
I would also consider a 4L60E, but I understand that this would require significant changes/additions to the wiring harness and a major programming change to the PCM.
