C4 LS1

I bought a built 4l60e out of an 04 GTO which has the 6 bolt tail housing and the small VSS sensor. I cannot use that tail housing because it is going into a c4 with the 4 bolt tail housing so I am using the PATC conversion 6bolt to 4 bolt bracket to mount it up. The c4 tailhousing has the large hole VSS signal. My question is can I use the VSS sensor from my c4 tailhousing to work with the 4l60e PCM to get an accurate speed signal?
