Any comments? Would having my own rebuilt stronger be a better deal?

I would stay away from that. For one thing, a very (almost exorbitant) price for what you get. And probably built by novice (and still underpaid) mechanics that don't really care. Stick with one of the sponsors FLT, RPM or Performabuilt.
Consider this one from FLT for $1600:

It will be carefully built by the owner or by someone under his over-the-shoulder supervision. I have never read a single complaint about FLT. I particularly like that FLT uses the latest components such as the Sonnax Smart Shell.

Awesome, thank you. One quick, probably xtremely noobish question, but this one will have the same gears in it as stock right (4 speed w OD)?

I'll try to post some pics of a 4L60E build I'm doing at the shop right now in the next day or so. Billet shafts, Smart Tech drum, etc. It's an existing build that twisted the output shaft off and broke the case.
I don't really push the 4L60E's because most of our customers are at 800+ HP and it's not the place for a 4L60E. However we''ve done some pretty stout pieces.
I have a RCSB AWD truck in the shop now that has a 4L60E I built about 2 years ago when he was making just under 600 RWHP. Now he's making 690 RWHP and it's hurt, so it's getting a 4L80E upgrade.
The other 4L60E I mentioned is in an extended cab truck with 6.0L. It's been doing really good until we found the limit of the OEM output shaft, so we're taking it as far as we can to avoid a 4L80E swap.
