Default Jakes 4l80 guys!!!

Hey guys I'm wrapping up my build and need to measure proper driveshaft length.

I have a jakes 4l80 with the modified "truck" output shaft that's been machined to use a regular th400 slip yoke..

Do you guys measure the same way as the fully splined guys?

Are the fully splined 4l80 output shafts the same length as the truck ones...? Not the spline length but the whole shaft itself

Or should I order the tranny yoke, put it on till it bottoms out and pull out 1" and then measure from that to the pinion yoke

Also I'm assuming the torque arm should be installed before measuring, to make the rear more straight?

Regular 400 yoke. Shafts are the same length. You need a yoke with about 5.5-6" from center of joint to end.

If the output shaft it not machined down, does that mean you need to use a shortened slip yoke, or a counterbored one? Where does one get a counterbored slip yoke?

What about the o-ring?

I suppose with the 2 piece driveshaft, like in my truck, I can use a slip yoke that is shortened to actually bottom out on the output shaft?
