Default TH400 Flex shield

Will a flex sheild require any mods to fit a Camaro tranny tunnel?

Depends, if you are running an Ultra Bell, the answer is you don't need one. If you have the standard bellhousing a CSI flex and drum shield should fit ok. It's tough to bolt on because it takes up the last remaining 1" of space in the tunnel. You may have to do some other work as well. What shield were you looking at using?

I was thinking about using a TCI or ATI sheild. The decision isn't final as I have yet to order my tranny and may default to an Ultra Bell. Thanks for the info.

I am running a CSI supershield with my T400 and it's tight in there.

I have the Ultra, and everything was as close to an OEM fit as can be expected.

Are any of you using the adapter plate to accomodate all the bolt holes between the tranny/block? I'm guessing if this route is taken, then wouldn't there need to be spacers for the converter bolts.

I don't use the adapter. Your only one bolt hole short, and its at the very top. It's strong enough without having that one bolt.
