Default 2000 LQ4\4l80e question

Can I mate any 4l80e stock converter to this engine with the longer crank? I know Circle D said I could not use their 278mm 4l80e converter with it only the smaller 245mm. Any opinions, options or feed back?

If you have the stock flat flexplate with no spacer still, yes.

Yes, slow is right. The OE 4L80 converter has the shorter pilot so no interference. The 278mm we offer has the longer LS style pilot, great for conversions. But in your case it will bottom out in the crank before it reaches the flexplate. So the only way to get a higher stall is with a custom built converter.
