Default Ratchet shifter for TH400

Looking for updated pics on some good ratchet shifters for TH400s. Ive checked out older threads none seem to be newer than 2011.

Is there anyone out there with a recent install and also using the stock a4 console. I will be getting a RMVB Th400 from Jake here soon

A gate type shifter is usually better than a ratchet type. The Pro-Stick shown is a gate type shifter. The TCI Outlaw is as well. We also sell a high end shifter with transbrake switch integrated and other features that is a gate shifter. Those are the 3 we've used most often.

The B&M Pro-Stick shown has to be mounted "raised" a bit to come out of the stock A4 console. I don't have any finished pics but we've done this install many times and you can see the aluminum used to mount the shifter in the picture.

Thanks Jake, I am actually leaning towards the TCI Outlaw and the quarter stick already. Bit I did drive a buddies vette with a ratchet style and it was pretty good but he said he adjusts it about every few months.

Did you use the stock console with the cheetah?

I don't know specifics of the install, but had this image saved for my future reference.

I have that one saved too. Its probably the cleanest install I have seen in a stock console but i really want a pistol grip type handle with a button (or two) on it
