What is the intended usage of the car? It sounds like a rowdy n/a setup at 12:1 comp and I'm assuming it's not street driven much?

I'd say more track than street. But when it is on the street it's highway driving mainly

If the car is mainly track oriented and the street driving you do is mostly locked up on the highway, I say stick a 4000+ in there and go fast.

go big ! if you hate it there is always the one free re-stall with most quality convertors and you see way more wish I had gone bigger on stall than smaller. With that cam you don't want to go too small....

Depending on what you want... 3E... That's about a 4500 stall or so. I do like the feel of the 2E. They are a little looser (think PT series from Yank) and are super efficient.

I want something tight and efficient. The goal for the car is low 11s on motor

Tight and efficient don't usually go together. The tighter a converter, the more it loses uptop generally. Fast NA converters are very efficient uptop and generally are looser in street driving.

Martin Smallwood is one of the best at trying to figure out stall applications. I would give him a shout and see what he would recommend. Just shoot over an email to support@tickperformance.com, he will be more than happy to steer you in the right direction.

I used to run a 5C Circle D and loved it. You can't go wrong with that unit!

Looks like I'm staying with a 4k then! The 5c will be an improvement over the one I have now for sure

Call up circle D, Yank, FTI, or PTC and get a recommendation for your combo. What 60fts are you cutting now, or do you have any time slips to show us so we can get an idea how your combined runs now? Otherwise its just blind cheer leading.

depends if you want to be able to lock it up at wot... there was a thread on here a few months back guy had more hp than your looking at by 150ish and he picked up somewhere around 50 hp and 80 ft lbs by locking the convertor , may save a shift too if your having to shift just to make the traps.
