Yank SS 3600 or PAS 3800
So I am looking to start my build 1 piece at a time. I have the suspension, rear end and motor combo figured out. My last piece to figure out and most likely first to start upgrading is the trans. I am having the 4L60 rebuilt by FLT. Not sure on level yet but I'm thinking 5. Car will be stock bottom end cam only car on the gun. Trying to decide between the tried and true SS 3600 or the new kid on the block PAS 3800. I don't really care about N/A performance as much as on spray. Any experience with either on a nitrous car?

OK, my $.02...PAS3800
I base that on extensive conversations with Yank. I have been thinking my SS3600 was too tight., So after talking with them about a re-stall, they had be do a few test hits while videoing the tach. The shift extensions were right at 1,000 rpm drop (anything less than 800-1000 they do not recommend loosening it up anymore).
Why do I think it's too tight??...I have dropped my window switch down to 3,100 and N2O still doesn't hit until about 15' out. My best 60' on motor is 1.63 and on the 62 jet 1.53. Brake stall spins tires at 2,500. 2nd gear (held) stomp from 25 roll=3,000
I know it's a full weight car, but think it should 60' better than that.
Oh and I have the FLT level 6

I am stuck between these two converters as well. I am N/A with a PT4000 and want to tone down the street driving a little so either one should fit the bill. I had the SS3600 years ago and it was great but I wouldn't mind something just a tad looser than it.
I can't find too much online about the PAS3800, if anyone has any experiences etc with it please post up.

I have the PAS3400 behind my 383. Its tight on motor and loves spray only hit it with a 125 shot so far but car went a 1.45 60ft. Looking at working up to a 200 shot. I ran a ss3600 before defiantly looser then the PAS series...I guess what do u want good spray times get the PAS if u want a looser NA converter get the ss3600. The PAS loves spray! That's for sure yank said it will 60 even harder the more spray u feed it. U can't go wrong either way
